The first collection in this design is the Love from Hong Kong series. I had picked designs that were heavy with gorgeous Hong Kong nostalgia. Think Ladies market tartan, White Rabbit Sweets and Mahjong tiles. All very Hong Kong and even more so, as these pouches hand crafted by a 75 year old tailor in the city- one of the oldest trades as the city blossomed from Colonial outpost to bustling metropolis. The tailor shop itself was established in the 1970’s and is now run by the third generation, continuing Hong Kong’s legacy as a hub of handmade and inspiring me as to pick up my needle and thread as a young student growing up there.
