I used highly polished Excella zips, and hand stitched the entire bag using quality Ritza Tiger thread, adding to its strength and appeal. The edges have been finished with multiple layers of Italian edge paint, smoothed and heat sealed with a modern creasing iron for durability. The strap is made from Italian Vegetable tanned leather to contrast the main body material. It will develop a beautiful used patina look after a while!I created this piece with versatility in mind. Not only is it big enough for daily essentials, but it can be adjusted to be worn cross body or around the waist. I've given it a buckle closure with a strap keeper, and have punched holes for waist-height wear. They thrive in the many tropical forests and gardens around Singapore! Not only has it's curvy, wild shape inspired my logo, but like the plant, it has crept it's way in to my carvings too. I love exploring the ways to recreate this beautiful plant, and I hope you'll enjoy seeing it on my Colugo Collection too!I designed the Colugo to be a elegant and effortless companion for your everyday. Made from a single piece of leather for the body, it can be worn around the waist or across the body. Large enough to fit an Iphone 15 Pro Max and with a separate flap pocket for easy storage, it's a little bag with a lot of use.You'll find variations of the Colugo made using my curated collection of premium leather from Europe and the USA- from beautifully natural veg tan to stellar and sparkling embossed croc effect cowhide.The body of the bag itself was especially designed by me to be made from one piece of leather. The front has a flap pocket panel to easily flip open to store items on the go, be it receipts, sunglasses or cards. Securing it is a snap button. It all fastens together nicely the push strap lock.One thing that I wanted the Colugo to be was versatile in it's wearability. It can be worn cross body for daily life and also around the waist for more freedom around the upper body! The lengths can be adjusted and also customised to your size.- The specifics -The strap length (Including the bag) measures a maximum of 115 cm and a minimum of 91 cm.The medium version of the Colugo will snugly fit an IPhone 15 Pro Max and measures 10 x 18 x 3 cm.The large Colugo will generously fit an IPhone 15 Pro Max and measures 13 x 20 x 3.5 cm.- Vegetable tanned leather -Essentially- It is leather in its most malleable and natural form. It is the more time consuming and eco friendly technique to tan leather. Rather than taking just a few days to tan with chemicals like the Chrome tanning technique would require, Veg Tanning uses natural tannins like tree bark and tea to make the by-product leather in to a useable and long lasting material. The front has a flap pocket panel to easily flip open to store items on the go, be it receipts, sunglasses or cards. Securing it is a snap button. It all fastens together nicely the push strap lock. Think Ladies market tartan, White Rabbit Sweets and Mahjong tiles. All very Hong Kong and even more so, as these pouches hand crafted by a 75 year old tailor in the city- one of the oldest trades as the city blossomed from Colonial outpost to bustling metropolis.
